I learned another interesting technique today – I wove a floral necklace from wire, and filled the petals with nail polish. It turned out very delicate.

Four new Tonner dolls have arrived – a 2004 RTW Carrie, a 2011 Dove DC Stars Kit, a 2006 City Style Kit, and a 2011 Carol Barrie basic.
I dressed up another Tonner doll today – Peggy. Her rather revealing outfit didn’t really fit the overall dress code of the display window. I sewed a sundress for Peggy from lightweight fabric, picked out a hat to match, and made her a beaded necklace.
Made a hyacinth out of beads for my mother, following a pattern from the internet.
Tried Anya’s decoupage kit today. Made a beautiful plate with lilies as a gift for Grandma Zhenya.
I’ve finished my first beaded artwork using a bead embroidery kit and ribbons, almost simultaneously. I also braided a bracelet from beads and seed beads. And Anya and I made a braided paper basket.
Anya has been slipping felt fawn patterns to me for a long time. Finally, Mom got around to it, and we sewed a beautiful Bambi fawn.
Today, another of my beauties arrived – a fiery red, green-eyed Tyler Classic Elegance from 2013 in a gorgeous black velvet dress.
I sewed an evening dress from stretch crimson velvet for Suzette today. I also made her gold earrings and a shawl. Now she doesn’t hesitate to stand on the shelf with all the other girls.
With Anya, I made two-sided paper hearts as a gift for her classmates for Valentine’s Day, even though she can’t stand them. But at least we spent the evening being creative together.
