Managed to finish my Christmas angel in time.
Managed to finish my Christmas angel in time.
I decorated the school walls as a photo gallery with pictures of our students on vacation with a beach ball.
During our wonderful vacation on the island of Rhodes, I even managed to sew three outfits for Barbie from pre-made materials. There’s no better place to showcase dresses.
Before the summer holidays, I decorated the podium with photos of teachers on their summer vacations and inflatable beach balls.
Today we have a gala performance by the group 8 for parents. Therefore, not only the runway is decorated, but also the entrance to the school and the entire hall has been transformed into a restaurant. We even have candles and live music. We invited Mariya to play some pleasant pieces on the electronic piano while guests arrive and settle at their tables.
I made a balloon arch in the colors of the Dutch flag today to decorate the school entrance for the graduation ceremony.
My friend Danita recently gave me a mandala crocheting kit. Before this, I had never tried crocheting things like this. But this mandala came together quickly, and inspired by yesterday, I finished it today.
Today I had a life-changing event. Circumstances arose such that I had the honor of speaking with His Royal Highness Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands. He came for a visit to Woerden, visited several locations, and at the end, visited our crocheting club as well. I couldn’t resist the opportunity and crocheted him a small figurine of a king with a knitting hook and a ball of yarn as a keepsake of this event. His Highness greeted each of us personally, taking each of our hands. He even stood with the mayor of the city while we sat, because we were placed in a very small side room, and the press didn’t even fit in there. The king said that my gift was very nice and asked me a few questions about my arrival in the Netherlands and how the club helps me improve my Dutch. His Highness is very pleasant to talk to and not at all arrogant! I still can’t believe this happened to me. None of my Dutch acquaintances have had the honor of speaking with the King, and I am so fortunate! And I am glad that somewhere in the palace collection now lies the small Willem Alexander that I crocheted.
Today I was at Comic Con with the girls, and I bought a Disney Animators Mulan doll, as well as a rare Disney Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. And I also bought a used Elena of Avalor doll from Hasbro, but it was just cut and dressed in someone else’s outfit, it looks like from some Rapunzel.
For Anechka, I crocheted an online class gnome with a graduation cap and diploma, following the description, for her graduation.
