Mom and Dad arrived and, in anticipation of their granddaughter’s birthday, brought our first Barbie family from their home. Our most beloved and cherished Barbie from the Happy Holidays series 1991.

Then they bought us a stylist from the Ultra Hair Ken 1991 series. He was our first Ken with stitched-in hair, and a tube of hair gel was also included.

In addition to the family, Barbie’s younger sister Skipper and the tiny twin sisters Helen and Susan arrived – Mermaid Skipper and sea twins. Their tails changed color if you dipped them in cold or warm water.

And later, Barbie li’l friends from 1992 – Cindy and Jessica – were bought. I am so happy that the dolls that it all started with have finally joined my collection.
