On my husband’s birthday, my Tonner doll “Seventeen in Her 1940s Prom Gown,” released in 2003 in a limited edition of 1000 pieces, arrived. She was exclusively made by Ashton-Drake Galleries and artist Robert Tonner.
The doll arrived nude, without shoes, only with a stand. But I easily found her promo photo, the outfit was gorgeous! Maybe someday I’ll do something like that to her. She has a very pleasant face, minimal makeup, brown eyes, a direct gaze, and a first-generation body. The hair is brown, gathered in a braid at the back of the head.
